On Board fire systems using COLD FIRE®
These automatic and manual fire detection and suppression systems have been designed for a wide range of applications. The units can be installed in all types of vehicles (including track and off road racing vehicles), all types of boats, logging and heavy equipment.
The CT and CTX systems have the unique ability to automatically apply the Cold Fire directly on the fire instead of wasting suppressant areas where there is no fire.
On Board Manual Fire System — MS
COLD FIRE Manual Fire Suppression Systems are available in a variety of sizes. Units consist of Stainless Steel cylinders with manual push or remote cable pull for system activation. Nozzles and tubing are installed as required per application. All system cylinders are filled from the factory. This system is used mostly in drag racing, street rods, and racecars, but can be used on any type of equipment where the operator needs a manual fire suppression system. The MS satisfies all fire suppression insurance requirements for the logging and heavy equipment industries.
On Board Fire Automatic Fire System — CT
The CT System utilizes the Detection tube as both the detection device and ColdFire® suppressant delivery system. As the fire begins, the portion of the Detection Tube nearest the point where the most heat is detected ruptures, forming an effective spray nozzle. The pressure drop in the Detection Tube releases the entire contents of ColdFire® in the cylinder through the Detection Tube to effectively suppress the fire. More than one Detection Tube can be used enabling the system to cover more area. The system is totally automatic, has no moving parts, and is totally independent of electricity. This is the automatic system to use in the small to medium size engine compartment with low airflow. The CT also satisfies all fire suppression insurance requirements for the logging and heavy equipment industries.
On Board Fire Automatic High Volume System – CTX
CTX Model made use of the same Detection tubing to act as both detector and accurate discharge unit. However in CTX Model, the instant drop in pressure within the Detection tubing during activation, is used to trigger a separate and simultaneous discharge of ColdFire® via the valve through the discharge tubing and pre-positioned nozzles. The protection provided is two fold, it ensures that nozzles can be positioned to protect important items regardless of turbulence and the Detection tube will discharge at the point of the fire. This system is typically used in larger areas that require a high volume of ColdFire® to effectively suppress the fire. Multiple nozzles may be added to meet the application requirements. The system is totally automatic and is totally independent of electricity. This is the automatic system to use for large engine compartments or in an area of high airflow.
